Pink Flame Amethyst with Rainbow Sheen
Pink Flame Amethyst with Rainbow Sheen
What Makes This Unique
Thunder Bay District of Ontario is world famous for its distinctive, ancient amethyst crystals. Mined ourselves from an undisclosed private mine site in McTavish Township, in the Thunder Bay District, this rare specimen, known as Meteoric Amethyst, Thunder Bay Red Amethyst, Canadian Amethyst, or Auralite 23, is highly sought after by collectors worldwide.
This stunning piece features a rare combination of purple amethyst with striking pink inclusions, created by a unique mix of minerals found only in this region. These minerals—including iron oxide, manganese, and others—give the stone its distinctive coloration. A truly rare feature of this piece is the natural iridescent luster found in one corner. While the exact cause of this phenomenon is not fully understood, it is believed to be the result of a natural metallic coating, possibly involving aluminum or other elements, creating an ethereal, rainbow-like sheen that adds to its collectible value.
Metaphysical Benefits
Each piece from Thunder Bay is considered Auralite 23 under metaphysical classifications, serving as a universal energy conduit. This variant, with its combination of purple and pink hues, is believed to offer additional energetic properties based on its unique composition. The purple amethyst promotes spiritual awareness and calm, while the pink inclusions are linked to heart-centered energy, enhancing love, compassion, and emotional balance. The rare rainbow luster further amplifies the stone’s ability to connect with universal energy, making it a powerful tool for emotional healing and spiritual growth.
